Tamara is her name, we met playing World of Warcraft. She has one son. We get along pretty good. No arguments yet.

I have been told I am going to apply for the spring semester at UW-Stout. If I like it.. or not.
Lab reports are still a pain. School is a pain in general. The hospital is less of a pain and more of an annoyance right now.

We had a meeting today to discuss the program and just how kicked around we feel.

Anyway.

I bought this game called Bully. You are this kid who's mom is well, a gold digger. Anyway she married this guy who is literally old enough to be your grandfather. You have been expelled from every decent school in the country and are then sent to Bullworth Academy.

At the academy you have 4 factions, the Jocks, the Nerds, the Preppies, and the Greasers. You start out doing missions for the Nerds and against another unaligned faction called the Bullies. They Bullies are just that, bullies. Their leader is a massive dumb kid called Russel, anyway you have one year to rule the school. So far I am halfway through the school year and have only a third of the game done.

You can collect weapons like firecrackers, eggs, stink bombs, itch powder, and others you get as mission rewards.

You also get to try and make out with every size appropriate girl in the school. Lip to Lip combat only. God help you when they all like you because if they catch you kissing someone else they do one of two things, either get into a hair pulling catfight or.... introduce their shoe to your family jewels. Especially the brunette with the glasses. Ouch.

Anyway, its a fun game for a console. Made by Rockstar Vancouver in the style of the Grand Theft Auto games.

Some nurse tried to make me get her the deader cart. I told her "no". She said "everybody else gets it for us". Then I pointed out I am not everybody else. I also told her if she pushed the issue I was more than happy to quit. She backed down and we were all happier.

If Dave says I have to go in there I hope he is ready to start looking for someone else, 'cause I aint going!

The hospital

According to the people who work there the hospital is haunted. I haven't seen any ghosts but several of the other transporters say other people have. Of course none of them have seen one either. But there is supposed to be a nun in the basement, a white ghost, and a guy that someone saw sitting on a sofa.

Until I see one, they don't exist.

Plus alot of the nurses thing my fear of corpses is funny. I am NEVER making a morgue run. I don't care how much they offer to pay me.

New Job

Started a new job today. Working at a hospital. I am tired. Its all new and there is not much to say about what I do. I collect laundry and send it to the laundry room, I pick up garbage bags and dump them in the garbage chute. Sometimes I have to run samples to other places. Not alot to say really.

I went to a civil war re-enactment, it was kinda fun. I got sunburned though, so that part is not so fun.

Blisters are annoying

I have a blister on the back right of my heel, its been there for three weeks now and is now about as big as a quarter and sticks out about a centimeter or so. The stupid thing wont pop or go away. Its too cold yet to switch over to sandals and trying to relive the pressure on the back of my heel just made it bigger. Anyone have any ideas on this? Its starting to make walking a pain.

Also, now down under three hundred pounds. Progress is starting to slow so I need to increase walking distance but the blister is getting in the way.

I really need to work on schoolwork too but cant seem to find the ambition.

Current status

I am now at 300 pounds, so I have lost 15 pounds in 3 or four weeks. Not too bad since last week was spring break and I didnt do alot of watching what I was eating.

In other news, nothing has gone according to plan and now I have no idea what to do or which way to go even. One of the women I most want to spend time with right now seems to have decided that whatever friendship we had is best forgotton. Hell if I know.

UW-Stout has said that the plan for next semester is now up in the air because of unresolved "issues" with registration. I have also been told that they are considering just offering our class a straight shot into Stout without the capstone project that we are supposed to do to graduate from CVTC.

Krondax wrote me a letter from bootcamp. He is fine and is mostly enjoying himself. Wish I could be there with him. But, too fat and out of shape at this point.

I really need someone to tell me what the hell is going on and suggest what I should do.

Other than not getting good grades on tests. So far B+ and B-. Not sure what I got on my cell biology test yet (he hasnt made up a curve).

A friend of mine says she isn't mad at me, which is a good thing, but she has "hundreds of reasons to be mad at you", which, I somehow suspect, is not a good thing. Guess I will find out later since I asked her what they were.

Anyway not alot is happening in the grand scale of events so... later.

This semester

This semester started out as bad as I thought it would. Electronics is all new. I dont understand much of it yet. Materials is kinda hard. Nanobio is what we should have gotten last semester in biology (the book is hard, not to mention confusing). We have to read about a chapter a day in every class. Five classes, two to three times a week, equals about thirteen chapters a week. Not to mention the homework loadout. As it is, I am getting it done in a "just in time" manner, which is NOT good. Come to think of it, I finished bio this morning IN bio.

I need some downtime. Or a resolution to another issue, one way or the other.

Thanksgiving was not going to happen originally.

Well, not much of one at any rate. I made a chicken and the Weasle and I were playing Balder's Gate II. Ok, I was playing and he was making comments on my inability to find a cave I was looking for. (If a cave is labeled Gnoll Cave II then by all reasoning there should be a Gnoll Cave I, right?) Anyway, my other brother called from his sister in law's house and asked if we wanted to eat thanksgiving over there. Not having anything else to do we said yeah.

When we got there I spent most of my time talking to my sister in law's dad and telling him how the Crusades were brought about and why. He is into that stuff big time (his words), actually he is into history in general. Which brings me to my point.

Does anyone know some good cheap books on the Crusades and other historical books? Preferably those with timelines, he is not too good with when stuff happend.

Also, Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you spent it with those you love.

Bad weekend

Find out that a truck came and dropped of filter socks and left them in my way, so I spent some of saturday getting everything straightend out. Finished filling barrels of liqued chlorine to empty the tank. Then on sunday I burned the starter out on the pickup. We just got it replaced three weeks ago.

Took two of the neices shopping for hats today. They both picked the same style. I tried to get Raine to get a cowboy hat but she decided on a sunhat instead.

Also, they are leaving for Cape Cod on Wednsday. Which is why I bought them hats. Need something to keep the sun from burning thier heads.

I saw a car go up in flames today on the way home.

The girl (Miranda, last name unknown to me) who was driving is all right. Upset naturally but she should be fine. We managed to save everything in the trunk and the other 3 guys who stopped said they cleaned out the front seat before we decided it was too close to brewing up to do a through search.

The State Police were there in less than ten minutes and the fire department in about fifteen.

I hope she had insurance.

Rome: Total War Barbarian Invasion

Much harder than the original Rome: Total War.

Two factions start out as hordes, the Huns and the Vandals. The Roxoli, the Sarmatians, and the Goths are the first to get run over.

I played a game as the Goths and managed to take one settlement. Then the Vandals showed up to cause a ruckus. I managed to get my defensive army to full just in time for them to besiege my capital town of Colonia Dacia. TWO HOURS later I had managed to defeat the two Vandal armies that had managed to get into the night fight.

I had six units of Gothic Spearmen, four units of Gothic Raiders (archers), and four units of Heavy Cavalry that belonged to various family members (generals). I stuck the archers out on a corner of the town that stuck out towards the Vandal lines and proceeded to wait for units to run past and get shot at. Plus I moved general units towards any gates to make forays out and try to draw some of the Vandal horse archers into range of the wall defenses. An hour and a half later I had managed to destroy 14% of their army for 1% losses in mine. Unfortunately at this point my archers had run out of arrows and just become poorly equipped infantry. So, I started running my cavalry (generals) out to "raid" one flank of the Vandal line. Naturally the horse archers on that side would run off and shoot at me while I ran over two or three units and then got out of there. Every time I did this I managed to destroy or run off two to three units. After the first raid I had killed or run off 33% of their army and I was up to 5% losses. At this point the Vandal cavalry was getting rather tired because they would keep running from one flank to the other trying to keep cover on both while I rested up my heavy cav for the next foray. I finally smashed all the Vandal cav units and killed both generals and was resting up for the next attack and I checked casualties. Forty-four percent for them and ten percent for me. So, I brought out my spearmen and lined them up facing the Vandals. I took my cav on one last attack to try and get a few units to chase them into my infantry. It worked and I went over to general attack and chewed the remaining Vandals into small bits.

After that I proceeded to hit one Vandal army after another using night attacks. During night attacks the enemy cannot get reinforcements unless its during a seige. I destroyed one army and then attacked the army that had the faction leader and the faction heir (the last two Vandal family members I could see), killing them both. The Vandals were destroyed as a faction after that.

In the meantime I had run a debt of over ten thousand Denarii. I had it paid down to about 5 thousand when the Huns showed up. I don't know how but they laid seige to one of my towns and attacked the same turn with a battering ram. How did they do that? I can't. I have to wait until the next turn to attack. Anyway, I lost that one. One cavalry unit against a horde is a foregone conclusion.

Ok, things pretty much went to hell for a bit.

Earl Hoffman died last weekend and I went to his wake last Wednsday.
Got the chiropractic examination done last Friday. He does not think x-rays will be necessary, but, if there is no significant improvement he left that option open. He adjusted 2 spinal areas and 3 on my neck yesterday. They felt good for a few hours but I am happy I have an appointment for Wednsday. This may take some time, I am thinking two or three months to fix everything.
